Over 30 years of BJJ and MMA, between us. Our life’s work: MOA.

Raphael Lesnino & Ben Freudenberger

As owners and coaches at Munich MMA, we teach beginners and professionals in MMA and BJJ every day. MOA condenses our entire coaching experience into one system. We set out to map the entire sport, down to its fundamentals. You skip years of piecing things together and can focus on your progress instead.

What the app takes off your plate

Three worries, gone.

01 · Teaching

One curriculum.
No more guesswork.

At the gym and on YouTube, techniques come at you without context. MOA is a curriculum. Each technique builds on the one before it, so you always know where you are on the path and what comes next. You learn exactly what matters in MMA.

02 · Depth

Three distances.
No blind spots.

Most people only ever learn one distance properly. Boxers ignore the ground, grapplers neglect their stand-up. MOA covers striking, wrestling and the ground with equal depth, so you understand MMA as one complete system rather than a bundle of separate sports.

03 · Understanding

Understand it.
Make it yours.

MOA shows you more than the movement: when it works, what it sets up and what follows from it. You learn the why behind every technique, and that is what makes it stick.

Common Questions

What you should know.

Who is MOA for?

MOA is for anyone who wants to learn MMA with structure. That includes beginners without a gym, gym members closing gaps in their training, and advanced fighters rounding out their game. Coaches and gym owners use MOA as a teaching system too.

Do I need prior martial arts experience?

No. MOA starts with the fundamentals: stance, footwork and basic techniques in every distance. Step by step you build your skills across all three distances, striking, wrestling and the ground.

How is MOA different from YouTube tutorials?

MOA is a structured curriculum of 545+ studio videos rather than a random collection. Each technique builds logically on the one before it. You always know where you are on the path and what comes next.

Does MOA work without a training partner?

Yes. You can drill a lot of it solo: footwork, shadowboxing, workouts and technique visualization. A partner is ideal for wrestling and the ground game, but MOA supports your training even when you’re at home on your own.

How much does MOA cost?

The app is free to download. Full access via subscription:
€6.99/week (trial week: €2.99)
€49.99/3 months (trial month: €7.99)
€149.99/year (trial month: €5.99), the lowest price per month
The trial is a one-time discounted intro period. When it ends, your plan renews at the regular price.

Which devices does MOA run on?

MOA runs on iOS and Android: iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets.

How do I delete my account and my data?

You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the MOA app under Settings. Once deleted, all of your training data is permanently removed. Questions? Email coach@moaacademy.com.

How do I cancel my subscription?

MOA subscriptions run through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so that’s also where you cancel them:
iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → MOA → Cancel
Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MOA → Cancel
You can also email coach@moaacademy.com.
